My name is Francesco Zaccariello and I breed West Highland
For almost 20 years I have been breeding West Highland White Terriers with Passion and Dedication.
If you are looking for a healthy, typical West Highland White Terrier puppy with a balanced temperament, then I can help you. For about 20 years, my life has been devoted to this breed, a love born when I was just 13 years old.
For me, breeding is not just a passion, but a constant endeavor that requires deep knowledge and painstaking selection. I have traveled all over Europe and to many countries around the world, visiting the most important and historical kennels, to research the best bloodlines and form in my mind the ideal Westie: a strong dog with a beautiful head, a compact and functional body, able to move gracefully. But typicality does not stop at physical appearance: my work also focuses on character, to preserve the lively and balanced spirit typical of the terrier. In addition to typicality for me, the health of my dogs is a top priority, as far as it is possible to text all breeding stock on the main genetic diseases to which westies are prone.
Each puppy is the result of meticulous selection and socialization work. I pay the utmost attention to the health and well-being of my dogs, conducting official tests on breeding stock and providing them with all-round care, from nutrition to hygiene. This dedication is reflected not only in the health and balance of the puppies, but also in the excellent results obtained in dog shows, with numerous championships won and prestigious awards.
If you choose a puppy from me you are entrusting yourself to a professional who will never leave you alone: my priority is the mental and physical well-being of the puppies even after they leave the kennel, and I am always available to support new families. There is a though! I don’t foster puppies to people I don’t think are suitable, I don’t consider puppies a commodity! Puppies are living things that become part of a family, and the compensation you are charged is for my selection work not for the puppy.
MY METHOD.
To Breed
My goal is to breed West Highland White Terrier puppies that are healthy, strong and have an authentic terrier character, faithfully reflecting the breed standards. The breeding stock I choose are tested for the most common genetic disorders and are kinetically tested (the shows) by expert judges in Italy and abroad
SEARCH
My quest to identify ideal bloodlines led me to cross borders several times in order to obtain specific characteristics that I continue to look for in my dogs to this day. The continuous comparison with breeders from all over the world helps me to grow and share experiences continuously.
EXPO
FCI-recognized dog shows provide breeders with the opportunity to evaluate and compare their dogs with the help of experienced judges. The awards obtained provide clear guidance on the path to follow in selecting specimens and reward us for the many efforts required.
CARE
Caring for my dogs is my top priority: I ensure proper nutrition and impeccable hygiene, constant veterinary checkups and lots of playtime. I consider my dogs as family members, they live with me and are treated with great affection. For me, breeding is not a job, but a passion.
